Frank Strnisa

Frank joined the Hog Heaven Rescue Board of Directors in mid 2004 after adopting two horses, a donkey and two pot bellied pigs (who joined three dogs, two cats, a pot bellied pig, a chinchilla, a lamb, a chicken and a water dragon lizard). Frank, a native of the Canonsburg, PA area, resides outside of Burgettstown, PA with his wife and three sons on a 50-plus acre parcel where Frank finds rest working on projects around the house, riding his tractors, cutting and bailing hay and helping his wife take care of their pets. The family is active in the Presbyterian Church with Frank having been Session Member and Elder for over 10 years at the local church as well as being Jr. High Confirmation teacher.

Frank has a very strong belief that God has tasked man, not with dominion over the earth, but that man has been designated the Stewards, or care-takers of the earth and all the creatures in it (See Genesis 1:28 & 2:15). This in part has fueled his love of the environmental field of air monitoring, and is one way he is helping keep our earth clean and viable for future generations to be able to use. In addition to his position with Hog Heaven Rescue, Frank also is on the School Board of Tri-State Christian Academy as a member of the Finance Committee.

A graduate of Penn Technical Institute in Pittsburgh, PA with a Degree in Specialized Technology, Frank has over 26 years experience in the emission monitoring field, with both Ambient and Continuous Emissions Monitoring. Frank has maintained monitoring systems on numerous EPA sponsored projects. His expertise lies in successful field design and implementation. Interfacing with both customers and regulatory agencies, he has overseen equipment installation and start-up, following through to the certification process. He also trains customer's personnel in maintenance and quality assurance issues to assure the continued long-term performance of their equipment. Prior to founding Environmental Consultants & Services, Inc. in 1994, Frank had been involved with the development and operation of several service departments, most notably with KVB as the Eastern Regional Service Manager, and with Wheelabrator Clean Air Groups / Altech Systems Division as National Service Manager, both leading CEM suppliers. Frank's experience spans the spectrum of installations and certifications of systems including utility, Cement, co-generation, municipal solid waste, hospital waste, hazardous waste and petroleum plants. Frank is a 10 year member of the Air and Waste Management Association.
